Thomas A. Swift MetroPark

41 degrees 14 minutes 22 seconds north latitude and 80 degrees 55 minutes 4 seconds west longitude

Located in Braceville Township about a mile from State Route 82, Thomas A. Swift MetroPark is adjacent to the Mahoning River at the intersection of the proposed Western Reserve Heritage Trail between Cleveland and Youngstown. The 12-acre MetroPark opened to the public on Friday, October 7, 2011.

Swift MetroPark was dedicated on September 29, 2006, to honor long-time MetroParks supporter Honorable Thomas A. Swift, Trumbull County Probate Court Judge.

Activities & Amenities
Portable restrooms are in the park from April through October. Handicapped parking spots are available in the paved parking area. A canoe-kayak launch allows non-motorized watercraft access to the Mahoning River Water Trail, now in development.

Plans for the Future
The Trumbull County MetroParks board plans to construct a nature walk and add picnic tables and restrooms at Swift MetroPark. An arboretum is being considered. Plans depend on acquiring adequate funding.
