Foster MetroPark is located close to State Route 534 in Newton Township on Damascus Newton Falls Road, near the intersection of Pricetown Road. The park provides the first available canoe/kayak launch site below the Lake Milton dam on the East Branch of the Mahoning River. The river runs almost 14 miles to Canoe City MetroPark, with a Newton Falls dam as the only man-made obstruction. The park is adjacent to Ohio Bicycle Route J.

The three-acre park was acquired through the efforts of Trumbull Canoe Trails and was named for former MetroParks commissioner Preston Foster. Mr. Foster contributed over 14 years of volunteer service to Trumbull County MetroParks.
