Frequently Asked
Questions How are the Trumbull County
MetroParks funded?
Funds to operate the MetroParks in 2011 were provided by the Trumbull
County Commissioners from general county funds. Parking lots are
maintained with Road Improvement Funds administered by the Ohio Department
of Transportation. Recent park acquisitions have been obtained through
Clean Ohio funds, with the assistance of the Trumbull County Planning
Commission. Donations from Friends of the Western Reserve Greenway and
Friends of the Trumbull County MetroParks are used for special projects
and for general MetroParks operations.
